“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” This quote by Hippocrates is so true. Foods have healing powers and nutrient-rich foods have amazing health benefits. And in order to consume healthy foods, we must shop for healthy foods. Because if you keep good food in your fridge, you will eat good food.
I am sharing with you few tips that has helped me tremendously in eating healthy and in saving time and money.
1) Make a list: Before going grocery shopping, make a list. Making a shopping list and sticking to it not only saves money but also saves time.
2) Eat before going shopping: My own personal experience tells me that when I go shopping with a hungry tummy, I am more likely to buy processed and unhealthy foods. But if I eat before shopping I am more likely to make healthy choices.
3) Include foods that are necessary for good health.
4) Know your store: This is also important when it comes to saving money and time because most stores have royalty cards and discount for customers.
So, let’s keep these tips in mind and shop smart. After all, we are what we eat. So lets eat well, feel well and take care of ourselves.
